Dunelm welcomes customers to refurbished store

By Connor Steel

DUNELM have welcomed its customers back into their popular Fareham store following a huge scale refurbishment as they held a grand re-opening occasion held earlier this week; which drew ‘crowds’ of interested shoppers to the branch as the UK’s biggest homesware retailers offered a series of activities and fine prizes for winning customers throughout.

The branch opened its doors at 9am on Wednesday (June 26) and was eagerly cheered by customers who queued up outside the Southampton Road site; which was shut for a period of time to allow work to be completed safely. Their first 30 customers were rewarded with exclusive goody bags and a balloon arch was placed near the entrance to celebrate.

A total of twenty vouchers were further placed around the shop and these ranged from £5 to £20 that could be spent in this store by lucky customers; who enjoyed seeing new departments and new products throughout. This did feature the brand new decorating space selling Dunelm’s own wallpaper and paint ranges along with many popular brands / ideas.

Customers are able to access a Made to Measure area where they can select their own window treatments, along with an exciting new furniture show room featuring beds / sofas. The ‘Pausa Kitchen Café’ has also been refurbished and it hosted a selection of treats for shoppers on Wednesday which will be replicated for all customers daily moving forward.

Dunelm has also confirmed that it was supporting Age UK as its ‘charity partner’ for the next three years and this was a huge part of Wednesday’s event; which was opened by Age UK Portsmouth ‘representatives’ Lisa and Sonia. Manager John Lennard stated that staff were “delighted to reveal this all-new store in Fareham” and “everyone can now enjoy it”.

Readers may join the local Facebook group entitled Dunelm Fareham | Community Support where they can keep up to date with developments including how they can claim a free hot drink that can be sampled in the ‘Pausa Kitchen Café’.
